Leslie Guerrero Collins, L.M.T.
One of the first things many people ask me is, "Leslie, how did you get into massage?" so I'll start there. In the spring of 2003, I was about to complete my B.A. in English at the University of Texas, but I still didn't have a clear vision about my future after graduation. One day, I was driving alone on a winding road near Dripping Springs and I prayed out loud that I wanted to do something that was quiet, peaceful, healthful, smelled nice, and most importantly, I wanted those who sought me out to be happy to see me. Surprisingly, a response came to me almost instantly and I knew that my calling was to massage therapy. In May of 2006, I enrolled at A New Beginning School of Massage and on April 1, 2007, I both received my license in the mail and signed the lease on my private studio. What an amazing day! I took the leap and became a full time practitioner in August 2007 and here I am today.
I have learned that as a massage therapist, my responsibility to my clients is to guide them to a state of relaxation and freedom from pain, anxiety or general stress of their daily lives, if only for an hour. Enabling the the experience of peace and healing is my ultimate goal and the greatest gift I can offer as a massage therapist. I achieve this by integrating aromatherapy, heat therapy and meaningful body work in a balanced way for each client so that he or she can access within themselves the deepest levels of relief and well-being.
Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, I relocated to Austin in 1999, joined the University of Texas Longhorn Band and earned my degree in English along the way. My husband, Tim, and I have 2 wonderful children, Mateo and Eva Lilly.
